This stream of work involves technical investigations into the cause of failures within Engineering Systems.

The types of systems we have looked at have been fairly wide and varied due in part to the way we approach our investigations. In broad terms we encompass electrical, electronic, software, mechatronics and hydraulic systems ranging from heavy industrial machinery, data centres, telecommunication centres, power generation, building automation systems to complex mining and refining process engineering failures. Historically the cost to rectify the resultant damage from these failures ranges from a few tens of thousands to $500M USD.
